WHAT IS ACM?
The Association for Computing Machinery is the world's largest educational and scientific computing society, uniting educators, researchers, and professionals to inspire dialogue, share resources, and address the field's challenges.
Founded in 1947, ACM has grown to include more than 100,000 members from over 190 countries, making it a truly global community of computing professionals.

ACM INDIA
ACM India is a council of ACM that serves the computing community in India. It aims to expand computing research, education, and community in India by organizing conferences, sponsoring events, and supporting student chapters across the country.
With over 100+ professional chapters and 500+ student chapters, ACM India is one of the largest and most active ACM regions globally. It hosts flagship events like COMPUTE, organizes summer schools, and runs programs like the ACM India Doctoral Dissertation Award to recognize outstanding research.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is a premier state university established by the Government of NCT of Delhi in 1998. Named after the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, the university has grown to become one of the largest affiliating universities in India.
The East Delhi Campus (EDC) is one of the university's key campuses located in Vishwas Nagar, Shahdara. It houses four prestigious schools offering world-class education in Engineering, Design, Sciences, and Media. Known for its dedicated faculty and vibrant student community, EDC has become a hub for innovation and academic excellence.
With a focus on holistic development, the campus encourages students to participate in technical clubs, cultural activities, and entrepreneurship initiatives, fostering an environment where creativity and technology thrive together.

GGSIPU EDC ACM
ACM Student Chapter — Where Curiosity Meets Code
The GGSIPU EDC ACM Student Chapter represents the East Delhi Campus of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. Founded in November 2024 under the University School of Automation and Robotics (USAR), the chapter unites students from four schools USAR, USDI, USMC and USAP forming an interdisciplinary computing community.
Guided by ACM's mission to advance computing as a science and profession, the chapter promotes collaboration, innovation, and learning across domains like artificial intelligence, software engineering, robotics, and design.
Through hackathons, research forums, and community projects, we empower students to build impactful solutions that bridge creativity and computation.
